Christine & Mike decided to do their wedding differently. They really wanted to get married standing beside a lake but, in order for them to do that they would have to pair down the number of wedding guests.  That seems a little unfair and is something a lot of bride/grooms deal with.  Their solution was to get married lakeside in Muskoka on Friday with 30 of closest friends and family and then celebrate with everyone back home in  the GTA on Saturday.  The day started out as gorgeous but was threatening a storm. As we neared Gravenhurst the sky became black and then it proceeded to pour rain and hail. I haven’t seen a storm this intense in quite awhile. We were worried as we continued up the highway. Once we arrived it looked ominous but Christine and Mike really wanted to get married outside by the lake. As that is what this whole wedding plan was about. Amazingly the sky started to get lighter and the sun came out. The ceremony started & finished and we continued to photograph the couple and parents outside until the sky started to darken once again and then we felt the first drops of the second round of the storm. One favorite part of the day was Christine’s father speech- he tricked everyone to gather on the other side of the table so he could grab a selfie. Too funny!
