Do I need an engagement session?
Engagement sessions allow you and us to work together before the wedding day to create images that you can use for the wedding website, signing book, slideshow or table numbers. It also helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera and what it's like to work with us.

How do you pick your location for your engagement session?
Our suggestion is to photograph during a different season then your wedding and/ or to choose a location that means a lot- tells the story of the two of you. We have had many clients choose to photograph at their cottage because logistically it won't work for their wedding. Or sometimes clients bring their dogs or animals to the engagement session because again maybe they won't be able to be part of the wedding.

We don't have a favorite location
That's okay too! We recommend clients to use our favorite places by our studio location. We are only a block from the beach and two blocks from the forest. Both make stunning backdrops and get you away from the crowds. Imagine the beach all to yourselves and watching the sunset. It's a great date night to reconnect during the busyness of planning a wedding.

Can we bring our dog or animal?
Yes, of course they are part of the family too!

What time of day is best?
Weekdays are great and very quiet in most areas, Morning light or evening light is best. May- September 7-9:30 -5:00-7:30 October-April 8-10:00am- 2:00- 5:30. These times are flexiable depending on the month and the weather conditions. Overcast days are going to get darker earlier.
