This is such a hard and strange time. We are thinking of you all daily, having put so much time & love into creating the perfect day to now have to change the date. Our thoughts are with you.
We never thought this would ever be something that happens where our clients are trying to find new dates for their wedding days. I have created this blog post in order to help with re-booking dates. We wish things were so different. We wish we were talking about how we are going to document your best day, when you will be surrounded by your family and friends. This sucks to be talking about studio availability and contracts and cancellation policies at a time that should be full of nothing but good things.
But this is where we are at.
I’ve emailed a few people and we will be continuing to email more. We didn’t want to cause extra stress or panic for those of you who are all figuring out other important things like working, mortgages etc. We are here to chat, listen and help work this all out for you. If you are not ready to sit down and do this right now we completely understand. Just know we are here for whenever you are ready. Please lean on us.
Understand that this pandemic is nothing that any of us could have foreseen and we here are doing everything we can to care for you, hold you in our hearts, and help you get your plans moved to safer, newer dates.
Here is our studio policy towards changing dates:
In the event that your wedding has to be postponed or rescheduled due to the virus, we have immediately revised our rescheduling and transferring policies.
In the event that your wedding is postponed due to the Covid-19, Any monies paid will be transferred over to your new date, depending on availability. Please I ask you to make sure to keep us updated as to your plans so that we can do our best to make it easy for you. We again are happy to chat over the phone or through email about your plans and how we can best accommodate you. If you have any questions at all or need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would HATE for any of our clients to lose their retainers by choosing a date we’re not available for- we can make this all work. We want to help you as much as we possibly can!
If we are totally freaking you out with all of this, we apologize however, there are others that need this info and we hope that you will continue to never need it. Again for those others who are not at the point where you are ready to talk- it’s okay we understand. Call us when you are. This is a crazy situation that changes daily. But remember we are here to help! Don’t worry, we got you.
The key is to all come together with your vendors in order to make this process as easy as possible.
We have created this calendar in order for you to have easy viewing to dates that are available – please do double check with us as things are continually changing:
Extra suggestions:
- Reach out to ALL of your vendors together. We are waiting to hear from you, to help in this process. I am willing to hop on the phone with your other vendors in order to make this all work.
- Start looking at new dates – think about alternative dates to Saturdays- be flexiable. Peak Saturdays will be more difficult to find for your team of vendors- especially venues, even though I/your florist/the videographer might have them open. I know everyone loves a Saturday party, but flexibility is the name of the game right now.
- Understand that we are doing the best we can with what we know.
Everyone is scared and wondering what is best right now. We are not going anywhere – we have built a business that has lasted 20 years and will continue for many more years. Enjoy your loved ones, Facetime, read books and make sure to get outside at least for a few minutes everyday.
